Hotel Pont Royal Paris, Paris

I had a delightful stay with great balcony views of the Eiffel Tower. The rooms were cozy and featured a show-stopping panorama of Paris. The service was attentive and professional, but a bit lacking in the initial welcome. The location was absolutely perfect in the lovely Saint-Germain-des-Près neighborhood, near main tourist areas. The dining experience had a good selection but could use more variety. The facilities were well-equipped for a comfortable stay.

The hotel is situated near a grocery store, which can be noisy at times, but offers slightly larger rooms compared to Eiffel view accommodations. The room temperature tended to be on the warmer side, yet the bar ambiance lets you soak in the atmosphere enjoyed by Hemingway and company. The hotel provides nice bike, treadmill, and universal machines, though it lacks dumbbells or weights for those seeking that. The service was responsive, with a good attempt to address any issues. The staff was friendly and accommodating, with the added convenience of various amenities like room service, car hire, and laundry. The central location allows easy access to Musee d'Orsay, the Louvre, the Latin Quarter, and the Eiffel Tower, making it perfect for exploring the city. However, some staff conversations were too loud and included vulgar expressions. The proximity to a grocery store and other sites enhances the overall convenience of the location. The dining experience offered a nice breakfast selection that was more than just continental, though the dining room size was a bit cramped, and a broken curtain needed attention. Two positive aspects are the central location and the inclusive services, while two negatives are the occasional noise from the grocery store and the limited weight equipment in the fitness area.

The hotel's small rooms with limited views might not match its 5-star rating, but the nighttime view of the Eiffel Tower is charming. The service is attentive and efficient, offering a range of helpful amenities. The prime location near St Germain, Metro, and the river makes it easy to explore the city. However, dining options could be improved with a more varied menu.
